Welcome to
the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below,
we have tried to answer the most common questions
visitors to this our Web site may have. If you find
that your question is not answered on this page,
please email us at info@braintreedogtraining.org.uk
How old does my dog have to be?
Your
dog can attend at any age as long as it is fully
vaccinated before enrollment.
Does my dog need vaccinations?
Yes - all dogs must be fully vaccinated. We will
need to see vaccination certificates before your
dog can partake in classes. Please ask your vet
for further advice about vaccinations.
How much does it cost?
We charge an annual (human) membership of £5.00
single/£7.50 joint and then a further fee
of £1.50 to £2.00 a week (per dog) depending
on which class you attend. The first classes for
younger dogs last 30 mins and are £1.50 and
the later classes for older dogs last 40 mins and
are charged at £2.00.
How
long does a course last?
We do not have courses that run for a certain
period of time, we run classes every week, for as
long as you wish to partake, whether that be 10
weeks or 10 years!
Do
you have a waiting list?
We sometimes have a waiting list but we
endeavour to get you started in a class as soon
as possible. When you come to enroll you will be
advised as to whether there is currently a waiting
time and how long that would be.
Do I have to have a pedigree dog to join?
No you do not.
Pedigrees, Mutts, Mongrels, Crosses - They’re
all welcome.
I’m a member - what happens if I miss
a class?
We ask that you call the club, using the phone number
given when you joined, to let your instructor know
if you are going to be absent on any club night.
If you fail to do so you will be charged the usual
class rate for the night you miss. Please bear in
mind - club rules state that if you miss THREE weeks
without contacting us you will automatically forfeit
your place in the class and will be returned to
the waiting list.
N.B. You must phone and NOT
email
Can I come along to have a look?
Please do - follow the directions given
on the ‘Contact Us’
page of this website and come and have a look. (And,
yes...you can bring your dog too!)
